Following facial surgery, a lack of oxygen to the skin (cause unknown) turned Polly's face black and blue on the left side. nWith daily hyperbaric therapy sessions and 2% nitroglycerin ointment around the clock, there were noticeable changes within the first few days. nThe black disappeared, followed by the blue, and the loss of tissue was minimal.
